Brian worked at the North Kensington Law Centre in London and then throughout the 1980s at national level for the Law Centres Federation where he edited publications, led government and parliamentary relations and developed new services. Since then, he has worked as a conferences press manager and government agency interviewer but predominantly as a free-lance journalist. Current outlets include international property event publications e.g. MIPIM and MAPIC, Urban Land, the City Mayors web site, Metro-Magazine, Environmental Health News and Local Government News.
Gary was the founder and principal of Watermark Design Group, Inc., an architectural, urban design, and planning firm in Michigan, USA for 25 years. While in Michigan he also taught architectural design and renewable energy courses at Jordan College. His academic credentials include an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Environmental Design and graduate degrees in both Architecture and Urban Design. He recently founded and is chairman of the nonprofit Rocky Mountain Center for Sustainable Urbanism, located in Denver, Colorado
Carol’s varied career demonstrates her commitment to holistic
sustainability. She conducted renewable energy policy analysis and
advocacy while at the Colorado Governor’s Office and later worked in
intergovernmental relations at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Lab.
She was the Environmental Coordinator for the City of Aurora, a large
municipality in Metropolitan Denver, Colorado and currently leads the
Land Use Program at Tri-County Health Department, the state’s largest
local public health department. She has served on several boards
including the Colorado Board of Health and the Colorado Solar Energy
Society.
